Today I'll be discussing the differences and similarities between Animal Jam Classic and Feral! If you’re not familiar with Feral, that's okay! I will be discussing the gameplay, along with some cool features. So let’s get into it!

Social aspects:
First, let's talk about the community. Both AJC and Feral are multiplayer games with trading systems, a strong community, and an easy way to chat and connect with friends in public, or in private. I would say that the community aspect of both games is stronger than the quest / adventure aspect.
However, there is one thing that makes the communities slightly different: The chat filters. On AJC, the chat filters are designed to block out personal information. This includes emails, Skype, Instagram, etc. The reason they block this out is to protect children’s privacy, or enforce COPPA laws. But on Feral, you can give out your name, age, email, you name it! This is why Feral is a 13+ game. You can also say bad words on Feral, which are blocked in AJC for obvious reasons.

Adventure / Quest aspects:
Both AJC and Feral have a way to get in touch with the lore and backstory of the game. You can do these adventures / quests by yourself, or with a few friends. You get to talk to NPCs (non playable characters) and put your knowledge of the game to the test. And at the end, you get a special prize. However, adventures and quests are more different than you might think.
First of all, in AJC the goal of most adventures is to defeat the phantoms and get the land back, we can all agree on that, right? While playing, your animal can level up, which doesn’t really have any use except that it will recycle for more gems. In Feral, quests are more unique and have a more challenging feel to them. For example, in the Pizza Parkour quest, you were tasked with getting on top of a building by climbing a tree. The quests are more different from each other, and don’t follow similar gameplay. Also, the quests don’t only give you sanctuary and clothing items, but also dyes and enigmas. In addition, Feral quests are only available for a few days before the next expanse rotation, while AJC adventures are available all year round. (except for seasonal ones)
